Dr. Mindy Statter is an expert in pediatric surgery and minimally invasive surgical techniques for younger patients. In addition to her surgical expertise, Dr. Statter is the director of the pediatric trauma program at the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital.

She has edited a book on pediatric trauma as well as written several book chapters on pediatric surgery. Dr. Statter is also an advocate for child safety, and gun violence and injury prevention.
