Program Manager of Trauma, Burn and Injury Prevention, Injury Free Coalition for Kids of
Heather Marie Schaewe is Program Manager of Trauma/Burn/Injury Prevention for the Children's Hospital of Michigan, a Level 1 Trauma Center and verified Pediatric Burn Center. She completed her BSN in 1993, received a Masters certificate in Nursing Leadership and Finance in 2007, and Masters of Health Administration and Management in 2010. Heather has an extensive background in emergency room patient care and has worked in the capacity as both Burn and Trauma coordinator, where she advocates for and teaches proper care of injured pediatric patients. She is actively involved in the American Burn Association as a member of the ABA ethics committee, and secretary for the national pediatric special interest group (SIG).
