Phyllis L. Hendry

Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Florida Health Science Center/Jacksonville and Division Chief of Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Injury Free Coalition for Kids of Jacksonville

Dr. Hendry completed her pediatric residency at Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport. Her pediatric emergency fellowship training was at the University of Florida Health Science Center/Jacksonville.

Dr. Hendry is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Florida Health Science Center/Jacksonville and Division Chief of Pediatric Emergency Medicine. She is the Director of Pediatric Emergency Services at Shands Jacksonville. Dr. Hendry serves as the Medical Director for the Florida Department of Health, Emergency Medical Services for Children (EMSC) grant program and is liaison to Florida’s EMSC Advisory Committee and EMS Advisory Council. She is an associate editor of the textbook The Clinical Practice of Emergency Medicine by Lippincott Williams and Wilkins.

Her areas of interest include injury prevention, pediatric resuscitation, and pediatric bereavement and death issues.
