Wayne Marshall is the Director for the Division of Emergency/Trauma/Flight Services and Emergency Preparedness. He is responsible for administration of the State of Florida guidelines for Shands Jacksonville’s Level 1 Trauma Program which includes injury prevention, outreach education, and data registry collection. In addition to the Trauma program, he is responsible for operations of the Trauma Communications Control Center, Emergency Department, Trauma Center, Pediatric Emergency Department, and TraumaOne Flight Services at the Shands Jacksonville and Lake City locations. Wayne is also responsible for the Emergency Preparedness Division which works in concert with the City of Jacksonville’s Emergency Operations Center, local healthcare agencies, and with state and federal organizations to ensure that Shands Jacksonville is prepared for any man-made or natural disaster that may occur. Wayne is the Administrative Director for the Injury Free Coalition for Kids of Jacksonville.
