Dawn Daniels, PhD, RN, PHCNS-BC

Public Health Clinical Nurse Specialist, Injury Free Coalition for Kids of Indianapolis

Dawn Daniels is a clinical nurse specialist at Clarian Health Partners--Riley Hospital for Children and clinical faculty at Indiana University School of Nursing. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida. She received a Master of Science Degree in Nursing with a dual focus on acute care pediatrics and community health nursing from Indiana University. She received a PhD in Health Policy and Nursing from Indiana University. Her doctoral work, which included an adolescent health fellowship, focused on injury prevention and public policy. Her clinical expertise includes pediatric trauma, pediatric critical care, and pediatric neurotrauma as well as community health. Prior to her current position, Dawn was the clinical nurse specialist in the Pediatric Critical Care Unit at Clarian Health Partners-Methodist Hospital where her role included acute care management, research, and administrative functions. In addition, Dawn coordinated and implemented injury prevention programs in elementary and middle schools. Dawn serves as the program coordinator for Injury Free Coalition for Kids of Indianapolis.
