Heads Up - Concussion Awareness Workshop

Injury Free Coalition for Kids of Ann Arbor

Youth athletic coaches are the target audience for our newest initiative, “Heads Up - concussion awareness workshop.” We have partnered with the largest recreational program in the state, Ann Arbor Recreation and Education to provide this 30-minute workshop during mandatory pre-season coach orientation, as well as during quarterly first aid and CPR classes.

The objectives for this program include: increase recognition of signs and symptoms of a concussion recognize a concussion as a serious injury inspire the creation of “culture of safety” among players & parents enforce strict return to play guidelines
