The 2nd Annual Los Angeles Harbor Child Safety Fair in Wilmington was a great success. The Childhood Injury Prevention Center at Harbor-UCLA/REI planned this event with the Volunteer Center, South Bay-Harbor-Long Beach. Festivities for the 2002 Child Safety week began with a Safety Pavilion at the City of Los Angeles KTLA Kids’ Day LA Fair at Exposition Park. In the Harbor Area of Los Angeles County various organizations including the Volunteer Center, the LA City Dept. of Recreation and Parks, Aquatics Department planned local activities to commemorate the week.
