Each year, through this Centers of Excellence model, an internationally recognized team of pediatric health care professionals cares for thousands of families throughout the region, across the country and around the world. In addition, Children’s National Medical Center serves as a regional referral center for pediatric emergencies, trauma care, cancer, burn treatment, neonatology, and critical care.
