Welcome to the Injury Free Coalition for Kids of Indianapolis homepage!

The Injury Free Coalition for Kids of Indianapolis is a hospital-community partnership based at Riley Hospital for Children, the state’s only level 1 verified pediatric trauma center and pediatric research hospital. IFCK of Indianapolis is funded by Riley Hospital for Children, the Riley Children's Foundation and other grant awarding agencies. IFCK of Indianapolis collaborates and partners with a number of organizations committed to reducing children's injury throughout the state: Indiana University's Automotive Safety Program, Riley Hospital Safety Store, Methodist Hospital at IU Health, Health and Hospital Corporation of Marion County, Marion County Prosecutor's Office, and Think First for Kids.

Injury Free Coalition for Kids of Indianapolis works to reduce childhood injury and death in these population groups:

  1. Riley Hospital patients and their families
  2. Families from low socioeconomic geographical areas, and
  3. Families impacted with unique risks such as drug addiction.

Through working closely with community representatives, IFCK is able to create interventions that are tailored specifically to the unique needs of those individuals.
