Lexington, KY. (Feb 8, 2005) − Injury Free Coalition for Kids of Lexington (IFCK-Lexington) participated in state event specific to the safety, health and overall well being of children. IFCK-Lexington joined 15 children advocacy groups for “Children’s Day In Frankfort” This event held on Feb 8,2005 was an opportunity to bring together organizations, educators, and families to urge legislators to invest in the safety, education and health promotion for Kentucky children. Childhood well being is everyone’s business Injury Coalition for Kids of Lexington participated along with other groups (Safe Kids Coalition, Kentucky PTA, Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky etc) in the day’s event at the capitol to provide information to legislators regarding issues impacting childhood injury prevention, safety, health and education.
