Date: Thu, Oct 30, 2003 to Thu, Nov 20, 2003
Time: 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.

Location: Arkansas Children's Hospital Brandon Conference Room
Organizer/Sponsor: Injury Free Coalition for Kids- Little Rock and the UAMS Center for Health Promotion

The Technical Assistance workshop is designed to help community organizations understand the process of obtaining and sustaining funding. The workshop helps participants to articulate need and goals and effectively communicate those goals to potential funders. IFCK’s objective in providing the workshop is to promote self-sufficiency amongst coalition members, which results in additional resources for coalition activities, sustainability for affiliated community organizations, and a broadened base of neighborhood residents who are able to identify and obtain resources for their programs. Topics include concept design, identifying need, developing goals and objectives, evaluation, capacity considerations, writing proposals and general application pointers. Ideally, participants come to the workshop with a funding idea and leave with a definitive plan for compiling a proposal.
