Moving Kids Safely in Childcare is a 12-hour workshop, developed by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, that addresses the issues that child care facilities face when transporting children. The course has specifically been offered to all of the childcare facilities in the Centennial Neighborhoods, but is open to any childcare facility in the central Little Rock area. The participants learn about injury prevention and selecting and securing child safety seats. There will be certified child passenger safety technicians on hand to guide the participants through the course. Moving Kids is being offered by the Injury Free Coalition for Kids and the Arkansas SAFE KIDS Coalition, through a grant from National SAFE KIDS Buckle Up.
