We conducted a "Lock it Up" campaign in the ED where Firearm Safety Education was given to families in the Emergency Department. We worked with Moms Demand Action and Everytown -BeSMART and provide Be SMART educational material and cable locks to families. Trigger locks will be provided based on availability.
50 Cable locks and 6 Trigger locks were donated by Moms Demand Action and Everytown -BeSMART. Additional locks were obtained by Injury Free . More than 100 families were given cable locks and most families admitted to having a firearm in their home!
