Program/Event Details:
This year Piedmont Athens Regional will “Shine a Green Light” on November 18, 2021, to recognize National Injury Prevention Day and help raise awareness about the need to prevent traumatic injuries. Many of the hospital’s exterior lights will be changed to green in support of this important initiative. Safe Kids Athens, a coalition led by Piedmont Athens Regional, has dedicated staff who provide safety resources to the community with the goal of reducing the number of traumatic injuries, especially children with traumatic injuries, being seen at the hospital. An article will be submitted to our local newspaper with photos and NIPD information on our social media pages.
