Program/Event Details:
Riley Hospital for Children collaborated with Wayne Township Fire Department Station #81 for a car seat clinic on National Injury Prevention Day. As many as 85% of car seats are misused, per national data collected from car seat clinics. Car seats were inspected by certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians during the event. Car seats were also provided to pregnant women and families that met financial need criteria. During the event, 26 families were served, and 24 car seats were distributed to those that showed need for assistance.
