We have recently become a Safe Sitter® Site and decided to offer our first virtual Safe@Home by Safe Sitter® class as our National Injury Prevention Day event. We offered our class free of charge to students in Grades 4-6 with pre-registration required. Our class took place on November 18, 2024 from 4pm-6pm via Webex and we had 2 students in our inaugural class being taught by 1 of our 3 trained instructors. This program is designed to prepare students to be safe when they are home alone by teaching safety skills and introducing injury prevention, recognizing emergencies, and first aid.
