Dr. Lindsay Davidson Clukies is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine and practices at St. Louis Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, where she serves as Associate Trauma Medical Director and Associate Medical Director of the Special Needs Tracking and Awareness Response System (STARS) program. Her work focuses on pediatric injury prevention, trauma systems, and community-engaged research, with particular emphasis on firearm injury prevention, secure storage initiatives, violence prevention, and advocacy. She leads multidisciplinary initiatives that integrate healthcare, EMS, public health, and community partners to advance evidence-based prevention strategies and equitable outcomes for children. Dr. Clukies received the 2023–2025 Carol B. and Jerome T. Loeb Teaching Fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine for her firearm secure storage curriculum and was honored with the St. Louis Children’s Hospital James Gould Patient Safety Award in 2023 for creating a community gun lock program to reduce firearm-related injuries among children. She collaborates with regional and state injury-prevention organizations, gun violence task forces, and local child fatality review boards, and advocates for child injury prevention and trauma awareness through regional and national media engagement across print, radio, and television.

Dr. Clukies has been actively involved with the Injury Free Coalition for Kids through research collaborations, conference presentations, and national initiatives, and credits the Coalition’s mentorship and collaborative network as instrumental in shaping her career in pediatric injury prevention. She is honored to serve on the Board and support IFCK’s mission to reduce childhood injury through research, education, and community partnership.
