Trauma Program Manager, Injury Free Coalition for Kids of Indianapolis
Tracy Spitzer is a nursing leader with over three decades of experience in trauma, critical care, and performance improvement with adult and pediatric patients. She currently serves as Trauma Program Manager at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health, an ACS-verified Level I Pediatric Trauma Center. In this role, Tracy oversees multidisciplinary coordination to ensure optimal care for injured pediatric patients, manages program budgets, and leads initiatives in injury prevention, education, and quality improvement at hospital, system, and state levels.
Previously, Tracy held key positions as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Pediatric ICU, Cardiovascular ICU and Burn Center at Riley, and as Performance Improvement Coordinator for trauma and emergency services at IU Health Methodist Hospital and adult ACS verified Level 1 Trauma Center.
Holding an MSN in Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist Practice from Indiana University and a BSN from Indiana Wesleyan University, Tracy also completed leadership programs through the Society of Trauma Nurses and Emerging Leaders initiatives. Her certifications include CCRN, TCRN, ACLS, ATLS, and Advanced Burn Life Support, reflecting her commitment to excellence in trauma and critical care.
