Phoenix Children's Hospital has provided hope, healing, and the best healthcare for children since it was born in 1983, and has grown to become one of the largest children’s hospitals in the country. With a Medical Staff of nearly 1,000 pediatric specialists, Phoenix Children’s provides inpatient, outpatient, trauma and emergency care across more than 70 pediatric subspecialties, the most comprehensive pediatric care available in the state. The Hospital’s six Centers of Excellence have grown in size and expertise to place them on par with some of the most prestigious of their kind in the US.

Phoenix Children's, the Center for Family Health and Safety (CFHS) aims to reduce injuries and promote safe, stable and nurturing, families and communities.  The Center has three distinct program areas:  (1)  Injury Prevention, (2)  Strong Families and (3) Kohl's Mindful Me.

The Injury Prevention and Strong Families programs are designed to keep kids out of the hospital by assessing and targeting their greatest needs to keep families and communities thriving.  The program work to:

  • Identify and target our most vulnerable and at-risk communities
  • Create and deliver evidence-based and effective programming

Through the umbrella of the PCH Injury Prevention, we identify and reach out to these vulnerable and at-risk populations throughout the community to deliver education, program development, and advocacy around:

  • Child Passenger Safety
  • Teen Driver Safety
  • Bike & ATV Safety
  • Pedestrian Safety
  • Water Safety
  • Home Safety
  • Safe Sleep
