Teri Gray, MPH

Program Manager, Injury Free Coalition for Kids of

Teri Gray has worked in the field of Community Health Education since 1998 when she obtained her Master’s degree in Public Health from the California State University, Long Beach. Teri started as a project coordinator at for the Childhood Injury Prevention Center in November 2000 and is currently working with the Center on its mentoring program and fund development for sustaining the Center's program.

Teri's first project when joined the Center was as Project Coordinator for the Hawthorne-Lennox Safe Communities Coalition, Teri worked in a collaborative effort with key community stakeholders to identify and address traffic related issues and creates solutions to improve the safety of both vehicle occupants and pedestrians. Specific areas of interest for her work within the coalition were alcohol and traffic safety, car seat occupancy safety, and pedestrian safety. Through this program, our Center's Promotora program was born, which continues growing and expanding with new safety topics and communities served.
