According to the Centers of Disease Control, in the United States an estimated 1.7 million people sustain a brain injury annually (CDC, 2013). Traumatic brain injuries, like most injuries can be prevented by making safe decisions. Children & adolescents are among the age groups at a greater risk for sustaining a traumatic brain injury. Think First is an educational program whose goal is to reduce injury in children, teens and young adults (Think First, 2014). Cohen Children’s Medical Center is the local chapter of Think First National Injury Prevention Foundation.
