The Stop the Falls campaign promotes window falls prevention through a variety of media campaigns which include signage on the city's trains and buses and local billboards. We also track window falls in the Chicago region through a network of trauma hospitals. In 2017, there were 17 reported window falls - several resulting serious injuries. Tragically, one resulted in death. In 2018, there were 10 window falls.
In addition to the media campaign, we distribute the “super stopper”, an easy to install window guard device to community groups and parents.
