Child Passenger Safety Classes: The CIPC has NHTSA certified child passenger safety technicians who train the Center's Promotoras on providing child passenger safety education to their peers in the communities served by the Center. Promotoras offer two-hour classes on child passenger safety to parents in both Spanish and English.

El Vestido: CIPC staff worked with members of the Wilmington, CA community to develop “El Vestido: Seguridad en el Carro; The Dress: Safety in the Car” a community-based culturally sensitive child passenger safety program. The foto-novela storybook tells the story of a family making decisions about seat belt and car seat use. The story addresses the cultural barriers to seat belt and car seat use within a Latino population. The fotonovela and video are used in a small group setting with parents. These materials are available by request from the CIPC office.
